Review: Bifesta Sebum Cleansing Lotion

Guess who's back from the grave? It's me. I've been contemplating on blogging about my recent purchases because number 1, I don't find time since I have a full-time job and after work, I would just sleep until I need to go to work again. Of course, I eat and take a bath in between. And number 2 is , uhm. Actually I only have one reason that I don't blog as much as I would like to. I just don't find the time. Yeah, I have issues with time management  but I'm working on that. I would love to be more productive but the pressure at work stressed me a lot and it's still stressing me right now that's why sleeping is my way to escape stress. How 'bout you? What do you do to de-stress?

Enough with the blabber, I'm just happy that I found the will and way to blog. So as the title says, I'm reviewing about the Bifesta Cleansing Lotion. This is a Japanese brand and it's a water-based make-up remover. I have seriously oily skin and water based products is a plus for me. I actually discovered that fact like a month ago. I'm really a late bloomer on skin care and other make-up stuff.

I discovered this thru Ms. Liz Lanuzo of Project Vanity, she had a review on this as well. When she mentioned that this is available on Watson's. I said, "Say what?!?".  I love Watson's especially their branch on Gateway. The salesladies, cashier and even the security guard knows me already and why I haven't stumbled on this product when  I go there 5x a week?

The only make-up removers I've tried are from Ever Bilena which stings and it's oil-based and also from Maybelline, which is better than Ever Bilena but is also oil-based. I know there's a lot of DIY make-up removers and I just don't find time to do it so I settled on the products available in the market.

Price: Php 419.00 but I got in on sale for Php 349.00
Availability: Watson's and Shopwise (as far as I know)
Variants: Sebum (for oily skin), Agecare (for matured skin) , Brightup (for dull skin) and Moisture (for dry skin)
The packaging
For oily skinned gal like me.

Yay! True blue!

The product claims that it:

  • Melts and remove oil in make-up - It does. It really does. Waterproof mascara (Majolica Majorca Lash King and Maybelline The Falsies) has no say to this.
  • Tightens large pores and controls excessive oil - Pores are still the same and my skin is still oily so this is so not true. At least for me and I really don't use it on my face a lot except when I used Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation.
  • Cleanses oily skin without irritation - It didn't irrirated my skin, no break-outs after a month of usage.
  • Hypoallergenic - It will work for sensitive skin since I've read a review from a blogger that has sensitive skin and it worked fine.

Packaging

  •  It is a pump bottle made of plastic (hygienic, it has a stopper as shown on the photo above which you can throw away. For me, I kept it because it helps when I travel and it avoids the pump from being harassed inside my messy bag and cause spillage which we all girls hate.

Bifesta Sebum Cleansing Lotion in action (Kapow!)

For my eye make-up. I have brown e/s, I tightlined and some mascara. Sorry, it's the end of the day for me and my make-up is not as fresh when it was initially applied and I don't wear heavy make-up at work.

I use about half a pump since I really am so making "tipid" and don't want to waste the product.

So I pat the cotton pad and leave it there for 10 seconds and please no rubbing on the eye area, just pat the cotton pad and let it do it's magic.

Tada. I know it's gross.

After wiping it gently, all my eye make-up is gone including the one on my eyebrows.

One eye only.

So I flipped the cotton pad and used it on my other eye. Just kidding. I didn't of course. So, another half a pump on another cotton pad.

Voila. All cleaned and fresh.
My two cents:

  •  It really does a great job removing waterproof make-up. Just make sure to pat the cotton pad for 10-15 seconds and let the magic happen. Patience is a virtue girls.
  • I've had mine for almost a month now and it's half full. (I'm not using it on a daily basis on my face, I use it everyday just for my eyes.
  • I still wash my face with my cleanser (Pond's Flawless White/ Pond's Anti-bacterial Facial Scrub) though it says that you can move on to your skincare routine such as applying toner and moisturizer and what-not.
  • It's worth the price. I will repurchase this one. I don't need high-end make-up removers as of now when I know that there is a cheaper alternative. Unless, it's a gift or I win the lottery.
  • It does not sting and it's fragrance-free. No tingly sensation.

How 'bout you? How do you remove your make-up?

Leave a comment and make my day! Ciao!

REVIEW: In2It Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Very Black

I've been MIA (missing in action) the past few weeks. I know, I'm such a lazy lass. I've been busy with work and after work, I just sleep, wake up and go to work again. During my rest days (day-off at work) I spend time with my Babe who will be leaving the country soon for work so we are just making the most out of it since he won't be back 'til December.

Anyhoo, I found an amazing product when I was strolling at Watson's. It's really not good when your office is near any mall, especially for someone like me who is an "impulsive buyer". I'm really banning myself buying beauty products since I really have a lot now. I don't have a collection like other beauty guru's/bloggers but I know in myself that what I have is a lot for me and I only have one face and I already have 10 foundations. I know it's not normal, I know others have more but for me that's a lot.

Enough with the blabber. I'm not reviewing a make-up foundation anyway. I found a great product since my 4U2 DFY9 Liquid Eyeliner is a little bit dry and it's hard to make a perfect cat eye using it. So I grabbed this adorable eyeliner and the packaging really got my attention. I used my Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 so the photos are not as good as Digital SLR shots.Take a look:

Glittery gold and black looks so elegant together.

In2it has the cutest yet classy packaging in my opinion. I got this for P399.75. A bit pricey for me but for me, it's worth it.

I got the shade in Very Black, though I don't know what EPF 01 stands for. Maybe "Eyeliner Pen Fine"??? I don't know.

In2it claims that this product is:
  • Easy to apply and draw accurate lines -- Yes,but not super fine lines
  • Waterproof and long-wearing -- Yes, I'll explain later
  • Quick drying --It takes less than a minute to do so.
  • Smudge resistant -- That depends
  • Easy to remove -- Water does
  • No need to sharpen -- It's a pen for Pete's sake,very convenient since I don't bring sharepners
  • No fragrance -- It does not smell like there's chemicals in it. It has a faint make-up scent but it does not bother me

It looks so sleek and adding gold to the black packaging adds "Oomph!" to it. I can't rave much about the design. It looks like a high-end product. I just love it.

It's a fine tip fibre applicator also known as "felt-tip". I've tried the one from Maybelline that has a fine tip brush applicator which works fine but not as great as this. It dried so fast and the cap keeps coming off making my bag a mess. I normally don't like felt tip eyeliners because it's so hard to control (Nichido, F21 and Ever Bilena), but this one actually bends like a brush when you apply it which I prefer.

The handle is ergonomically-designed for easy handling. It's like rubber but tough so your fingers won't slip or slide if that makes any sense. The pen's shape is slightly curvy and because of this it makes application easy peasy. It's very handy and will not take too much space in my make-up bag.

I don't want to swatch it on my hands too hard since I don't want to waste the product. So I made little strokes, let it dry for a minute and rubbed it like hell, maybe 6 times and that's what I got. Not bad eh. I mean why would you rub your eyes so hard when you know you have eye make-up on? Not me.

Please ignore the ungroomed brows, large pores and eyebags. I just washed my face and applied my skin essentials on the photos. I know, I'm weird since I tested this after my skincare routine. I got this after work so when I got home, I'm really excited to try this. I tested this product before sleeping.

Can you see how deep the color is. It's really "Very Black" and has a matte finish but somehow sheer. Very pigmented and it's very easy to apply. It does

    FINAL THOUGHTS:

It's a great product. It's long-lasting, it's very pigmented, easy application, dries fast. It has almost everything that I am looking for an eyeliner. I would suggest that it should come with a micro-fine tip applicator version of this then it would be perfect.

It's a bit pricey for me, but let me tell you, you'll get what you paid for. It's totally worth it. I really can't tell if it dries fast or how long this will last since it has been two weeks since I purchased this and I'm not using it everyday. I actually placed it inside the box and use it occassionally but I'll update this blog once it dies and go to make-up heaven.

You can purchase this at any Watson's Outlet or malls that has In2it counters for P399.75.

Disclaimer: I bought this product with my own money. All opinions expressed on my blog are my personal and honest judgements on products. I am not affiliated with any cosmetics company.

How I Cover My Zits :IN2IT Sheer Natural Pimple and Blemish Concealer with Salicylic Acid Review

Happy Chinese New Year guys! It's almost midnight and I'm still up. Good thing, BF bought me some Rock n' Salt Cocoa from Happy Lemon because I'm a little down today and I really need something to cheer me up. I won't mind the sugars and calories for now. Even I'm "cheerless" today, it won't stop me to post a review on one of my recent purchases.

Have you tried the Honey Mask? If yes, how was it? If you'll ask me, yeah,I've tried it and if I can just turn back the time, I wish I haven't tried it. I suffered from severe acne on my chin and my jaw after 3 days of using raw organic honey.  I eventually stopped it though I know my skin will purge at first. I just didn't expect that it would be that worse. Poor me, I have now blemishes, acne scars, and some pimples are still popping out of nowhere.

I went to Watson's Gateway and found this one. They don't have testers but the SA's "sales talk skills" made me bought this, so without further ado, this is my review on IN2IT Sheer Natural Pimple and Blemish Concealer with Salicylic Acid

Credits to IN2IT's official website http://www.in2itcosmetics.com/web/product_SCS.html

The Sheer Natural is a new line on IN2IT's collection. They also have the Sheer Natural Gel Foundation with SPF 25, PA++ and Sheer Natural 2-Way Foundation, and I am planning to buy the foundation this payday.

What it claims:
  •  high-coverage,accurate to apply and easy to blend
  • waterproof and long wearing
  • contains salicylic acid
  • twist-up
  • oil-free

I got the shade in SCS 01 Beige, and checking their site, I believe this is the only shade available which is a bummer.

Made in Germany 0.28g
The flower and vine print in silver is simply adorable and cute.

Take note!
Good thing they placed that notice because I want to check the lenght of the stick

For the test

Bare face

One layer of concealer

Two layers of concealer

YAY!
  • I really like the consistency, it's not too creamy but it's very easy to blend.
  • It concealed the redness of my pimples and from afar, you won't notice it, but since mine is like cystic acne I think, it's pretty visible up close, since it's pretty bumpy.
  • Fortunately, the shade matches my skintone.
  • It has stayed on my skin and kept my pimples concealed for 5-6 hours.
  • It somehow shrunk the size of my zits. I believe it's because of the salicylic acid( I accidentally slept with it,after testing it SORRY)
NAY!
  • If you have a lot to cover, I won't suggest this one since it only has 0.28 grams.
  • The amount of product you get for Php319.75 really bummed me.
  • It only has one shade (I've checked their site and according to the SA who assisted me)
I would definitely repurchase this if they will repackage this and put more product in it. Generally, the consistency and blendability is a dream. I absolutely love it. If you want a dual purpose product, to conceal your problem areas and heal them, this one's for you.

Random Talk/Pictures:

Boyfriend bought me Happy Lemon's Rock n' Salt Cheese in Cocoa, which my one of my comfort food/drink,next to Gong Cha's Wintermelon with loads of their Special Milk Cream, since I need something to boost me up.

He's just the sweetest. We've been together for almost 2 years now. One year and 11 months to be exact on 02/11/13. I'm a lucky maiden I'll say.
I was drinking this while blogging about this.

What do you eat or drink when you feel down?
